When You're Around
04:10

Take a look at me, a highly independent girl,
high life devotee, indulging in the social whirl.
But now I've met somebody
who's changed my point of view,
introducing reason and rhyme,
for what I thought was colour was predominantly blue,
and what I thought was happiness, just a waste of time.
When you're around I see clearly,
all the beauties that I've never seen before.
When you're around I hear birds begin to sing again.
When you're around, all the pieces of my lonely life,
all the fragments of my broken heart,
they all fit when you're around.
When you're around, withered flowers
of my spirits, rise and burst into full bloom.
When you're around, you turn Winter into Spring again.
When you're around, I know feelings that I tried to hide,
that were locked away so deep inside.
Foolish pride you've washed away.
I feel loved when you're around,
and I want you around to stay.
